This year the difference between 17th and 16th place is $108,503. Robert Mizrachi, whose brother Michael won this event last year, was the unlucky bubble boy.

Robert Mizrachi, this year's $50k bubble boy. Mizrachi has cashed at the WSOP 25 times and made nine final tables, including winning the $10,000 PLO Championship in 2007. To date his career earnings total almost $4.2 million. Unfortunately he was unable to add any more to that in this year's Player's Championship. Phil Hellmuth busted Robert Mizrachi in this hand of Seven Card Stud. Hellmuth is the all-time leading bracelet winner and is looking to extend that lead with a 12th bracelet in this event. So far this summer Hellmuth has already notched two runner-up finishes in $10k non-Hold'em events. Nine players remain and Hellmuth is sitting in fifth in chips. The bubble hand. Mizrachi was all-in on fourth street, showing (X-X)7? 2? 8? 4? to Hellmuth's (X-X)J? 9? 7? 3?. By the time all the cards were out Hellmuth had made a pair of nines, good against Mizrachi's pair of deuces. Two ESPN cameramen capture the action for their television broadcast.
