Jude Ainsworth

The final Sunday of October proved to be excellent for several notable players, including Team PokerStars Pro Jude "j.thaddeus" Ainsworth. The Irishman took down the Bigger $55 and earned $45,938.21 for his showing. Others to lock up first-place finishes on Sunday include Ryan "ryanghall" Hall in the $109 Sunday Rebuy,

and in the Bigger $162, and Bruno "Bruno GT" Gonzalez Terra in the Sunday Kickoff.

A four-handed deal took place in the Sunday Million this week. Holding the chip lead when it was made was "Kipu," who was also on top of the counts when the final table began. A key hand for "Kipu" occurred with six players remaining. In the small blind with {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}, "Kipu" was happy to see action as "rastafari898" picked up {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Relatively short-stacked, "rastafari898" got it in with the big ace but was unable to overcome "Kipu's" kings.

Riding that momentum, "Kipu" began heads-up play with about a 1.7:1 chip lead. Eventual runner-up "vonBaranow" got off to a rocky start heads-up but managed a bit of a comeback. However, holding {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}, "vonBaranow" ran into "Kipu's" superior {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. A {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} board was all she wrote, giving the victory and the top Sunday score to "Kipu."

Notable Finishes: Mike "goleafsgoeh" Leah (14th - $5,862.29)

Entering the final table third in chips, "Pokerfred99" started to make a move toward the top with seven players remaining. After min-raising on the button, "Pokerfred99" was faced with a decision after "freshleo111" shoved from the big blind. With chips to spare, "Pokerfred99" called with {A-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and was up against {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}. The board ran out a safe {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} to give "Pokerfred99" the boost that led to making it to heads-up play.

Holding more than a 3:1 chip lead versus "akb1," "Pokerfred99" took it down a few minutes into heads-up play after calling "akb1's" all-in with {A-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Tabling {Q-Spades}{6-Hearts} "akb1" hoped to survive, but was unable to do so as the board ran out {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades} to secure the victory for "Pokerfred99."
